JEWELLERY: Flatback Studs

STANDARD SIZE: 16G (1.2mm) and 18G (1.0mm) Thickness & 8-10mm Length

DOWNSIZE: 6-7mm is standard bar length and hoop diameter after healing for snug fit and neater look.

HEALING TIME: 6-12 months for full healing as it is a cartilage piercing and tissue is thick and tough in this area. Initial stages of healing can be from 3-6 months.

PAIN LEVEL: Slightly higher on the pain level at 5-7/10 due to the cartilage tissue. You may hear a pop/crunch sound as the needle pierces through, which is totally normal!

AFTERCARE: Clean your piercings 2-3 a day with Saline solution and restrain from fiddling with the piercing. Avoid sleeping on the pierced side and it is best to wait until the piercing has healed before deciding to get another one on either ears.

PRO-TIP: Small, dainty studs are perfect for forward helixes as the area and space is limited, with flatbacks being an amazing choice as the jewellery end sits flush against the back of the piercing. Although small, a simple stud can accentuate even the most basic ear piercings you have.
